PROVISIONS
This Sunoco® ULTRA Service Center limited warranty is extended to the original Sunoco ULTRA Service Center customer only, and does not apply to any subsequent owner of the repaired vehicle. This limited warranty is made by the independent authorized Ultra Service Center franchisee named on the reverse side of this Repair Order. This is not a warranty by Sun Company, Inc. (R&M), its affiliates, employees, or agents, nor is it a warranty issued by any other independent Sunoco franchisee.
TERMS OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY
The Sunoco ULTRA Service Center franchisee named on this document guarantees that service and repairs performed at this Ultra Service Center will be free from defect in materials and workmanship for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever first occurs, provided the repaired vehicle is subjected only to normal use and service. Should a problem develop during the warranty period due to a defect in the workmanship of materials described on this Repair Order, franchisee agrees to:
- Repair original work performed at no cost to customer; or,
- Refund original cost if repair is not commercially practicable or cannot be timely made.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO:
A repaired vehicle which has been damaged by abnormal use, misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, or tampering by someone other that the ULTRA Service Center franchisee who performed the original repairs. Major repair work that is not authorized as a Sunoco ULTRA Service Center service including:
- Engine. Any internal repairs or replacement of internal components; or, replacement of the engine assembly.
- Transmission; Transaxles, Automatic – Any internal repair or component replacement requiring the removal of the automatic transmission or transaxle from the vehicle or disassemble of same.
- Manual – Any internal repair or component replacement requiring the removal of the transmission or transaxle from the vehicle or disassembly of same, for example, clutch rebuilding or replacing.
- Drive Axle/Differential Assembly: Any repair or component replacement requiring the removal of internally lubricated components or replacement of the drive/axle differential assemble, including ring gear, pinion shaft and related parts, and the pinion seal.
- Repairs made with used parts.
- Repair work for which customer refuses to allow franchisee to use parts or to perform services which are required in order to do a warrantable job and which is so noted on original work order.
- Incidental or consequential damages (i.e., additional expenses which may be incurred as a result of faulty repair or service work, including towing).
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS AND MERCHANTABILITY ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Franchisee, its employees and agents make no promises or guarantees other than those contained in this limited warranty.
OBLIGATIONS OF CUSTOMER
:
Original owner is responsible for keeping a copy of the Repair Order, and, if warranty service is required, the Repair Order copy must be submitted to original ULTRA Service Center franchisee when making any claims for such warranty service. Customer claims will be handled promptly by the ULTRA Service Center franchisee.
NOTE: Charges may result due to non-warranty required services and should be agreed upon prior to any work being performed.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE
:
Warranty repair or service must be performed by the original ULTRA Service Center franchisee whenever possible. If you are within 25 miles of the original ULTRA Service Center, you must return your vehicle to that center for warranty service. If you are outside a 25-mile radius of the original ULTRA Service Center, you may take your vehicle to the nearest participating ULTRA Service Center. For a referral dial, toll free 1-(800)-Ultra 94.
