Owner John LaRue has been in the automotive repair business since 1981, when he was hired as a technician at one Somerville’s premiere shops — Denson’s Auto Repair, which specialized in Volkswagens and Japanese cars. He then hired as the head mechanic at Larry’s Sunoco on Nassau Street in 1983, before purchasing Larry’s Rte. 206 location in 1984.
As the Princeton, Montgomery, and surrounding communities have grown over the past few decades, J. LaRue Sunoco has grown also.
Today thousands of homes and businesses now depend on us for all their automotive needs, including gas, maintenance, and repairs. And they come to us as well for other needs, including small motor repair, barbecue propane, and even snow plowing. This, of course, does not even account for the many thousands of individuals and families who visit us on their way north or south on Route 206 each year.
While we do try to give back to our community in many small and larger ways, we really cannot adequately express our gratitude for everyone’s patronage and word-of-mouth support. All we can do is continue trying our best to bring you exceptional, trustworthy service at a reasonable price, and never forget that we truly could not do it without you.
